You’ll depart early in the morning from your accommodations in Marrakech to start your journey. You’ll slowly climb into the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tichka Pass (2,260 m / 7,414 ft), the highest paved pass in North Africa. Shortly thereafter, you’ll leave the main road for a side road to the Telouet Kasbah. This famous kasbah belonged to the Lords of the Atlas, the Glaoui family, and now stands in ruins after the last Pasha, or leader, fled the country following the departure of the French. From there you will continue on and lunch at Ait Ben Haddou along a new road through Onilla Valley. This is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, that we will visit after lunch. Later we continue as far as Ouarzazate, the Moroccan Hollywood, to spend the night in a riad there.
