Tizi-n-Tichka Pass

Linking Marrakesh and the city of Ouarzazate is the 200km long pass of Tizi-n-Tichka, connecting many of the main attractions of the High Atlas.

At an altitude of 7,414 feet (2260 meters) above sea level at its highest point, it is the highest major mountain pass of North Africa. Constructed by the French military in 1936, it is still heavily relied on to this day.

Enjoy marvelous views of the surrounding landscapes, but do note that it often snows on the pass between November and March.
